Harry Truman Waddell, 72, Dies March 14
Beaver Dam - Harry Truman Waddell, 72, formerly of Central City, died in a nursing home in Beaver Dam Tuesday, March 14 at 10:15 p.m. He was born in Muhlenberg County April 12, 1888.

Funeral services will be conducted today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. in Central City with the Rev. Roy Geary, pastor of the Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Nelson Creek cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Raymond Waddell of Cicero, Ill., Truman Waddell of Chicago, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Deihl, Mrs. Lola Highers and Mrs. Nellodean Creamer, all of Chicago, Ill.; mother, Mrs. Cora Waddell of Sacramento; three brothers, Cecil Waddell of Central City, Robert Waddell of Henderson, Jesse Waddell; sister, Mrs. Rosie Gregory of Cleaton; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren.

Herman Waddle, 59, Dies at Central City
Herman Waddle, 59, died at his home on the Stringtown road near Central City at 6:35 a.m. Friday following a lingering illness.

He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. Waddle is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Waddle; one son, William F. Waddle of Central City; four daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Embry, Mrs. Sarah Louise Embry, Miss Myrtle Waddle, of Central City, Mrs. Pauline Rager of Chicago.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Central City Baptist Church with the Rev. Dewey Mercer officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Memorial Cemetery.

Rev. Joel T. Wade Dies in Chattanooga
Chattanooga, Tenn. - The Rev. Joel Taylor Wade Jr., 94, retired Presbyterian minister, died July 24 in a local hospital. He made his home at 502 S. Seminole Ave. [Chattanooga].

He had lived in Bevier [Muhlenberg County] for many years and was in charge of the Bevier group of Presbyterian churches in Muhlenberg, including Bethel at Nonnel, Bethlehem at Beechmont, Mt. Zion, Nelson and Elbethel.

The Rev. Mr. Wade had preached at Lewis Mission Chapel, Boulevard Chapel, Log Cabin Chapel and The Way, all in Chattanooga.

A native of Campbellsville, Ky., he was the son of Joe Taylor Wade and Letitia Durham Wade.

He is survived by his wife, Grace A. Vanduyn Wade; two daughters, Mrs. E.M. (Mary) Wade, Arlington, Vt., and Mrs. W.A. Stivers, Rome, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Percy M. Wade, Chattanooga; four grandsons, William Taylor Wade and Thomas Quigg Wade, Chattanooga; William Arthur Stivers, Pittman, N.J., and James Edward Stivers, Arlington, Vt.; two granddaughters, Mrs. Clifford Kinsey, Cornelia, Ga., and Mrs. Richard A. Watt, Falis Church, Va., and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. July 25 at the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. James L. Fowle, Dr. William Crowe and Rev. Willard Peak officiating.

Mrs. Mary Walls, 74, Is Buried Saturday
Powderly - Mrs. Mary Lous Reaby Wall, 74, died at her home in the Hillside community near Powderly Thursday, Feb. 23 at 2:30 a.m. following a lingering illness. She was born in Lyon County Jan. 27, 1887.

Mrs. Wall was a member of the Powderly Holiness Church where funeral services were conducted Saturday Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Phillip Uzzle of Martwick officiating, assisted by the Rev. Lorene Pendley. Burial was in the Dovey cemetery.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Agnes Jernigan of Powderly, two sons, Charles Leo Wall of Hammond, Ind., Arthur Raymond Wall of Hillside; two brothers, Dudley Forsythe of Granite City, Ill., Jimmy Forsythe of New York City; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild.

Miss Rebecca Delpha Ward Dies At Home Near Earles
Miss Rebecca Delpha Ward, 66 years old, resident of the Earles section of Muhlenberg county, died at 11:30 o'clock Tuesday morning of last week of angina pectoris, following a stroke she sustained thirty hours previous. Miss Ward died on the old home place, where she was born. She was a daughter of J.W. and Maria Jane Ward, pioneer settlers of the county.

Surviving are the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Florence Carvis of Earlington; George and Silas Ward, Earles; Palas Ward, Weir; Leslie Ward, Ziegler, Ill., and Robert Ward, Central City. Funeral services were held at 11 o'clock Thursday morning from the Antioch Methodist church, near Earles, with the pastor, the Rev. Dillon, in charge. Paul Barnes, chief clerk in the Central City post office, a nephew of [the] deceased, attended the funeral at Antioch.

Mrs. Rosalie Ward, 78, of Central City, died at 2:06 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11 in Sparks Nursing Center.

She was born June 22, 1918 in Grayson County and was a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Howard Ward; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Noffsinger of Greenville and Ruby Nell Rager of Central City; two grandchildren; one sister, Bertha Gore of Central City.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Tucker Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Oba Lee Washington, 59, died at 4 a.m. Monday at his home in Graham. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Daniels and Rev. Goss, at Graham Baptist church, at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial was in the Unity church cemetery, with Masonic rites at the grave. Pallbearers were Kenneth Jones, Seamon Bowman, Earl Martin, Robert Cash, Amos Earle and Arthur Spinks.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Charlie Gossett, Flint, Mich., and Pfc. Nancy Duncan, Ft. Washington, Thomas Relford

Washington Kin Dies At Owensboro Wednesday
Thomas Relford Washington, 82 years old, a third cousin of George Washington, first president of the United States, died at his home in Owensboro Wednesday morning. Born in Hopkins county, Kentucky, November 23, 1851, Mr. Washington had lived there until his young manhood, when he moved to McLean county, then to Muhlenberg county, residing at Bremen for a time. He had been residing in Owensboro for many years.

Mr. Washington's father, George Washington, a second cousin of the first president and probably named for him, was born at Mt. Vernon, Va., June 7, 1819, in Halifax county. He came to Kentucky in 1849, locating in Hopkins county, where he married Mary Elizabeth Ashby, of that place, for whose family the little town of Ashbybury was named.

Greenville - Mrs. Isadore Maude Welborn, 90, of 700 Lovell Drive, Greenvillle, died Sunday, March 4 (1984) at 8 p.m. at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.

Mrs. Welborn was born in Muhlenberg County, June 28, 1893. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Dee O'Neil of California and several nieces.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 7 at 10 a.m. at the Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Robert Bozarth officiating, assisted by Rev. Everett Wilkins. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mann Welborn, 82, Dies at Kirkmansville
Mann Welborn, 82, died Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at his home in Kirksmansville. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church in Kirksmansville at 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Grover, pastor, officiating. Burial was in McPherson Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hattie Welborn; seven daughters, Mrs. Earl Strader of Dunmor, Mrs. Hazel Strader, Beechmont, Ms. Sam Browning of R1, Greenville, Mrs. Lonnie Greenwood of R2, Greenville, Mrs. Richard McIntosh of R1, Greenville, Miss Nettie Welborn of Kirtksmanville, and Mrs. Ralph McPherson of Filo, Ill.; seven sons, Dean Welborn of Central City, Hutch Welborn of Illinois, Cook Welborn of Dunmor, Herman Welborn of Elkton, Vernon Welborn of Illinois, Thurman Welborn of Hopkinsville and Roland Joines, stepson, Greenville; 33 grandchildren, 23 great-grand-children; two sisters, Mrs. John McGhee of New Harmony, and Mrs. Bertha Moore of Dunmor.

Mrs. Helen R. Wells, Dies
Mrs. Helen Wells, Cleaton, passed suddenly at her residence Monday evening, December 5th.

The body was removed to the Elliott & Elliott Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10th at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Cleaton, of which she was a member. The eulogy was delivered by Rev. C.L. Jones, the pastor.

Surviving are Tom Wells, husband; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Vaughn, Chicago, Mrs. Eva Dunca, Cleaton; a son, Chester Rutledge, Terr Haute, Ind. Eleven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Mrs. Willie Mae Robinson, Detroit; Mesdames Lottie Zackery and Hattie C. Hardwick, both of Chattanooga, Tenn. Two brothers, Ernest and Moses Champion, Dechard, Tenn.

Members of the Ladies Sacrificers Reserve Club, of which she was a member, served as floral bearers, members of the United Sacrificers of America served as casket bearers.

Burial was in West End Cemetery, Greenville.

J.T. Wells, 86
Greenville - John Thomas Wells, 86, negro, died Monday night at the Ohio County Hospital in Hartford.

A native of Muhlenberg County, Wells had lived in Cleaton most of his life. He was a retired miner, and belonged to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Cleaton and Mt. Ararat Masonic Lodge 73 of Central City.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Georgia Wells; foster daughter, Miss Mary Lou McHenry, at home, four step daughters, Mrs. Eva Duncan of Cleaton, Mrs. Clara Vaughn of Chicago, IL, and Mrs. Mamie Halley and Mrs. Mabel Jennings, both of Indianapolis, IN; step-son, Elwood of Hartford and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Washington, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West End Cemetery in Greenville.

Sol West, Drakesboro, Dies in Hopkinsville
Sol West, Drakesboro merchant, died at 11:20 p.m., Wednesday at the Jennie Stuart Hospital, Hopkinsville. He was 72. Ernest West, 69, his brother, died earlier the same day at his home at Island.

Sol West had been in ill health for sometime. He had been in business in Drakesboro for several years. He was a member of the Drakesboro Baptist Church and the International Order of Odd Fellows.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lennie West; three sisters, Mrs. Gertie Lyons and Mrs. Mattie Jessup, both of Central City, and Mrs. Blanche Morris of Cleaton; three brothers, Neal West, Central City, Charlie West, Cleaton, and Ezra West, Evansville.

Funeral services for Sol West were held at 2 p.m., Saturday at Drakesboro Baptist Church with the Rev. A.T. Ross officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Memorial Cemetery in Central City.

Military Funeral Held Oct. 16 for VN Victim
Services for Donnie Lee Wester were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Drakesboro Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Marvin Ward, pastor of Belton Baptist Church. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery with military rites at graveside.

Sp/4 Wester, 20, was killed in a helicopter crash Oct. 2 in Vietnam. He was born March 15, 1948, in McLean County.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dellwood Wester, Drakesboro; one brother, Anthony Duwayne Wester of Drakesboro; two sisters, Mrs. Janette Kay Ward of Beech Creek and Mrs. Elizabeth Diane Ferguson of Louisville; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Myrtle Lear of Greenville; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Cassie Wester of Drakesboro.

Westerfield, Joseph Allen

Father Of Greenville Woman Dies In Hospital
Funeral services for Joseph Allen Westerfield, 59 years, of Hartford, who died at the Owensboro hospital following an appendicitis operation, were conducted Friday afternoon from the Hartford Methodist Episcopal church, with Rev. H.H. Jones officiating. Burial was in the Oakwood cemetery. The Hartford Masonic lodge, assisted by members of other lodges of that order, conducted the rites at the grave.

He is survived by his widow, two daughters and two sons. Mrs. T.O. Hall, of Greenville, is one of the daughters.

Joe D. Wheeldon Dies At Home in South Carrollton
Funeral Services Held from South Carrollton Baptist Church Tuesday Afternoon.
Funeral services for Joseph D. Wheeldon, 70 years old, were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the South Carrollton Baptist church with the Rev. L.P. Whitaker, pastor, in charge. Burial was in the South Carrollton cemetery.

Mr. Wheeldon was born and reared in Muhlenberg couty, spending virtually all of his life in South Carrollton, where he had been in business, conducting a drug store. He died at 10:35 o'clock Sunday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bernie Whitmer, where he had gone to pay a visit.

While not in the best of health Mr. Wheeldon had not been considered in a dangerous condition, and ate a hearty dinner at his daughter's home. He had been with her for the last two days. His end came unexpectedly and is regretted by a wide circle of friends. He had been intimately connected with all public matters in relation to his home town and took part in public affairs of the county as well. His father, the late Joe Wheeldon, was one of the early settlers of the county.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Lucy Davis Wheeldon; three children of his first wife, who died many years ago, Mrs. Bernie Whitmer, South Carollton, Harry Wheeldon, South Carrollton and Robert Wheeldon, Bevier; thirteen grandchildren, of whom Mrs. Sanders Barrett, Central City, is one, the daughter of a deceased son, William C. Wheeldon; two sisters, Mrs. J.F. Wolcott, South Carrollton, and Mrs. Kate Strother, Birmingham, Ala.; two brothers, John Wheeldon, Central City, and Walter Wheeldon, Evansville.

Whitaker, Leander Pressly

The Rev. Leander Pressly Whitaker, 45 years old, widely known Baptist minister, died at his home at Bremen last Saturday. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. T.T. Moore, of Rochester, who was assisted by the Rev. S.A. Kittinger, of Bremen, were held at Bethlehem church at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The church was filled, and many persons stood outside. Burial was at Shaver's graveyard.

The Rev. Mr. Whitaker was ordained to the ministry at Big Muddy church in Butler county in 1914. He remained in that county for several years and in 1920 removed to Bremen. Since then he had conducted services in thirty-nine of the forty Baptist churches in the Muhlenberg association, having been pastor of a number of them. He had also been pastor of rural churches in Ohio and McLean counties.

Surviving are his widow and twelve children, five sons and seven daughters. They are: Rollie C., Robert, L.P. Jr., Paul W., and Billie Rust Whitaker; Misses Eva Sue, Dorothy Francis, Mildred, Barbara, Ima Jean, Ramona and Patty Nell Whitaker.

Oscar Whitler, 82, Dies in Hopkinsville
Greenville - Oscar Whitler, 82, of Greenville, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hopkinsville. He was a retired road contractor and mine foreman. He formerly lived at Owensboro and Fordsville.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John W. Protsman of Troy, Ind., and Mrs. Mary Miller of Hugo, Okla.; a son, Ed Whitler of Greenville, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 Friday. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.

Mrs. Ellen Whitmer, 86, died at Hopkins County Hospital, Saturday, March 23, at 7:30 p.m.

She was born in Muhlenberg County Nov. 5, 1881, and was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by two nephews, O.L. Karnes of Lawrence, Tenn., and W.L. Karnes of Detroit, Mich.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Central City, conducted by the Rev. S.A. Kittinger, assisted by the Rev. Gerald Jones, pastor of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.

William Henry Whitney Died Here On July 28th
William Henry Whitney, 79, died suddenly at his home in Hotel Greenville Friday morning, July 28. The funeral service was conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 29, in the chapel of Gary's Funeral Home by Rev. A.B. Gross. The singing was by a quartet composed of J.E. Wood, Bob Walker, Charles Lam and Donald Locke. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery, Greenville. The pallbearers were Homer Evitts, Allen Agee, J.E. Wood, Bill McSpedden, W.D. Bratcher and Rufus Dennis.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. I.S. Sharp, Greenville; Mrs. Pearl Davis, Bel Grade, Mont.; Mrs. Myrtle Brazee, Reed City, Mich.; five sons, William Whitney, Pontiac, Mich.; Lloyd Whitney, Kalamazoo, Mich.; R.B. Whitney, Traverse, Mich.; Clifton and Sam Whitney, both of Burbank, Calif.

Wilcox, Jimmy Lee

South Carrolton - Jimmy Lee Wilcox of P.O. Box 155, South Carrollton, went to meet the Lord at 6:47 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, from his home, surrounded by family and friends. He was born April 17, 1933, in Hopkins County. He was a faithful member of Central City First Baptist Church. He served the Lord as a minister of music and deacon for 55 years at South Carrollton Missionary Baptist Church. He was also a Gideon. Mr. Wilcox was an educator for 38 years. He began organizing in 1954 the first band at Muhlenberg Central High School. He was at Central City High School for 33 years as teacher and principal. He finished his career at Muhlenberg North High School as the first athletic director and assistant principal.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Ruby Wilcox; children Eddie Wilcox and Patty Williams; grandchildren Katie Williams, Lee and Deidre Williams; a brother, Guy Thomas Wilcox; sisters Carolyn Morse, Betty Durham, Lila Downs and Helen Fryer; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City , with the Rev. Bob Lowery officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in South Carrollton. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Blanche Anderson and Mrs. Ruby Sherrod, both of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Ella Mae Putman, Browder, and Mrs. Alverta Jessup, Beaver Dam; son, Bishop Williams, Greenville; several grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. at Sharon Baptist Church, the Rev. Henry Baize of McHenry officiating. Burial was in Eades cemetery.

The last will and testament of Mr. Bryant Williams was probated in County Court last Monday. Messrs. W.O. Belcher and Newton Belcher being the two subscribing witnesses. Mr. Williams bequeathed to his wife, Mrs. Martha A. Williams all his personal estate and to his son, Clifton Paul Williams a tract of land containing 200 acres on Caney Creek, making the care and support of Mrs. Williams part of the stipulation during the balance of her life and at her death that he shall pay to the following children $100 each: Mrs. Martha Lee, Mrs. Alice Lee, L.P. Williams, G.R. Williams, Joseph A. Williams, Miss Sallie Williams. He shall also pay to Shelly Hendricks, Slaton Hendricks and Paul Hendricks, $33.33 each and to Stella Jernigan, Forest Jernigan, Elbert Jernigan, Howard Jernigan, and Herald Jernigan, $20 each.

Miss Windell Williams Succumbs at Graham
Miss Windell Williams, 16 years old, died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alec Williams, at Graham, at 1 o'clock Saturday morning, of tuberculosis.

Funeral services were conducted at the home by the Rev. Finley Hendricks at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Burial was in the cemetery at Yeargin's chapel church. Besides the parents, two sisters survive.

Mrs. Dan (Lola) Wilson, 88, Dies March 22
Madisonville - Services for Mrs. Lola Wilson, 88, of Madisonville, who died at 5 p.m. Saturday in the Clinic Convalescent Center, were at 3 p.m. Monday with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Her husband, the late Dan Wilson, was part owner of The Greenville Leader for more than a quarter of a century.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. W.S. Williams of Madisonville, Mrs. Givens Christian and Mrs. A.G. Collins, both of Sturgis; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wilson preceded his wife in death on June 8, 1964.

Mrs. Wilson was born in Union County July 25, 1880, the daughter of the late D.S. Carr and Barbara Nunn Carr. She was a longtime member of Madisonville First Baptist Church.

Forest Withers and a companion in crime, Robert Stattery, alias Dan O'Leary, shot each other to death last Sunday night in Cincinnati after a quarrel in a speakeasy over a hijacked car of liquor.

Forest Withers grew up in and around Central City. He is alleged to have been in turn bootlegger, petty lawbreaker and twice sentenced to the penitentiary on charges of bank robbery. He served a term in the penitentiary when he held up the Citizens Bank at South Carrollton some 14 years ago. He was serving a term in the reformatory at Frankfort and escaped there by tunneling on Wednesday night of last week. Withers was 46 years of age.

Wray, Mrs. Mary Rust

Mrs. Mary Wray, 86, Dies Sept. 20 In Beech Creek
Mrs. Mary Rust Wray, 86, well known resident of Beech Creek, died at her home Friday, Sept. 20 at 10:15 P.M. She was born in Pembroke, Christian County, April 3, 1860.

Funeral services were held Sunday Sept. 22, 2:30 P.M., in the Hazel Creek Church, with Rev. Kenneth S. Clendaniel officiating. and Rev. Forsythe assisting. The Parker and Washburne Funeral Home arranged the funeral. Burial was in the church cemetery with her grandsons acting as pallbearers, and her granddaughters serving as flower girls.

She is survived by three sons, Tom, Herschel and Henderson Wray, all of Belton; two daughters, Mrs. A.L. Wagoner, of Dunmor, and Mrs. Basil Parker, of Beech Creek; three sisters, Mrs. G.B. Ginsey and Mrs. E.T. Cisney, of Rosewood, and Mrs. Hugh Lee, of Weir; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Mrs. Wray was a member of Myers Chapel.

Wright Infant Dies
The baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Joe Wright of Central City died during birth Saturday morning at the Muhlenberg County Community Hospital.

Burial was in the Browder Negro cemetery.

Coal Oil Explosion Kills Mrs. J.A. Wright.
Wife of Principal of Drakesboro High School Died of Burns at Hopkinsville Hospital.
Mrs. J.A. Wright, 24 years old, wife of the principal of the Drakesboro High school, died at the Hopkinsville hospital at 4 o'clock Tuesday morning from burns received about 11 o'clock Monday morning.

Mrs. Wright was using kerosene to start a fire in the cook stove in her home at Drakesboro. The kerosene ignited, causing a two-gallon container to explode, and set fire to her clothing. Neighbors hearing the explosion and screams, rushed to the residence, but were unable to render immediate assistance on account of the doors being locked. A windowlight sash was knocked out and those entering found Mrs. Wright in a bedroom trying to cover herself up to smother the flames.

Medical aid was summoned and first aid rendered, after which she was moved to the Hopkinsville hospital in J.R. Kimmel's ambulance, where she died the following morning.

Mrs. Wright before her marriage was Miss Corinna Hughes, daughter of M.C. Hughes, former superintendent of Muhlenberg county schools.

Funeral services were held from the Greenville Baptist church at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. W.C. Harrell, pastor of the Drakesboro Baptist church, and Rev. A.M. Parrish, pastor of the Greenville Baptist church. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery, Greenville.

Wood, Ellis

Penrod - Mr. Ellis Wood, 89, of Penrod, died Saturday, September 16, 1995 at the home of his daughter, Shirley Williams in Dunmor.

Mr. Wood was born in Muhlenberg County on June 1, 1906. He was a miner and a member of Mt. Moriah Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by father, Abner Wood, mother, Etta Wood, and wife Elsie Elizabeth Beadnell.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty Ruth Grayson of Beechmont, Brenda Lois Peacock of Fordsville, and Shirley Sue Williams of Dunmor; one son, Charles Ellis Wood of Russellville; one sister, Bertha Christie of Greenville and one brother Herbert Wood of Dunmor.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 19 at 11 a.m. at Price Funeral Home, Inc. in Lewisburg with Mr. Charles Patton officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Church of Christ Cemetery in Muhlenberg County.
