Greenville - William “Bill” Venerable, 84, died Thursday, July 1, 2004 at Belle Meade Nursing Home in Greenville.
Born in Muhlenberg County, he was a member of St. James A.M.E. Zion Church serving as preacher's steward, teacher, Sunday school supt. and a member of the trustee board. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Venerable.
Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Gott of Cleaton, Sharon Scott of Davenport, Iowa and Linda Thruston of Los Angeles, Calif.; a son, Michael Venerable of Paducah; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., July 7 at Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Greenville. Burial will follow in West End Cemetery in Greenville. Bibbs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

James Vincent Dies At Home In Earles Community
James Vincent, 60 years old, a farmer of the Earles community, was found dead in his bed early Tuesday morning. Mr. Vincent appeared to be in good health Monday, and helped with hog killing at his farm, it was reported. The cause of his death could not be learned.

William T. Vincent Dies in Bremen
Bremen - William Thomas (Uncle Bill) Vincent, 85, died at his home in Bremen at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14.
Mr. Vincent was born in Bremen in 1862 and had lived here all his life. For over 50 years he had been in the lumber business here and for 57 years had been a member of the Bremen Masonic Lodge.
Funeral services were held at the Bethlehem Church with the Rev. T.T. Moore, assisted by the Rev. Hughlan Richey, officiating. The services were at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17. Burial was in Shaver's Chapel cemetery. The Masonic rites were said at graveside.
Mr. Vincent is survived by six sons, Giles, Chester and Ralph of Bremen, John H. of Louisville, Homer of Chicago and James of California; four daughters, Miss Helen Vincent and Mrs. Mable Blair of Louisville, and Mrs. Truman May and Mrs. Sherman Clark of Bremen; one brother, E.J. Vincent of Louisville, and 18 grandchildren.

Central City - Wilma Louise Vincent, 73, of Central City died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Greenville. The Muhlenberg County native worked at Central City Library as a librarian and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Anna Dean VanNaarden of Central City; an aunt; and several cousins.
Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Tucker Funeral Home in Central City is in charge of arrangements.
