Hugh Carter has obtained a right to two hundred acres of land by virtue of his having settled and improved this same agreeably to law in that case made and provided and located as follows to wit Hugh Carter enters 200 acres of land in lying in Muhlenberg County on the north side of Pond Creek beginning at Thomas Porter's corner at a white oak it running with Jesse Davis's line thence as the law directs for quantity so as to include my improvement.

Carter, Hugh assignee of Jacob Sears

Hugh Carter assignee of Jacob Sears enters two hundred acres of second rate land on the said Sears certificate No. B242. Granted by the commissioners the 15th day of October 1799 and located as follows beginning at a Beech tree marked thus SC and then north bearing thence to Mathias Hunsinger line to strike it at the point of a ridge pointing in the flats of land that then N 75 W with same line and as the law directs for quantity the improvement now the entry recorded August 29th 1807

Mary Irvin enters forty acres of land on her certificate No. 280 granted by the County Court of Muhlenberg in January 1802 and the location therein is as follows Beginning at Thomas Wards corner running thence Northward to Duncans Corner thence With said Duncans line and such other courses as Will include the said quantity. Recorded Nov. 15th 1807.

James Mornoe Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia to all to whom these presents shall come Greetings. Know Ye, That by virtue of an Exchanged Land office Treasury warrant Number five hundred and twenty issued the twenty eighth day of May one thousand seven hundred and ninety three, Then is Granted by the said Commonwealth unto Casper Mifford A Certain tract or parcel of land Containing forty one acres by Survey bearing date the fourteenth day of September one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight lying and being in the County of Rockingham and bounded as followeth to wit, beginning at a pine and small white oak in Henry Mans line and running thence with the lines of his Seventy one Survey South forty six degrees East one hundred and thirty poles, to a pine by the side of dry run, thence South fifty two degrees East one hundred and twenty poles crossing said run, to two hickories, thence South nine degrees West twenty poles crossing the aforesaid run, to two red oaks in Whitemore's line North sixty three degrees West ninety three poles to a leaning pine corner of Whitemore's and Samuel Miller's land thence with said Miller's lines, North forty three degrees East twenty poles to three pines North fifty six degrees West one hundred and sixty one poles to two pines, in Henry Mar___(?) line, thence with the same, North forty three degrees East forty four poles, to the beginning with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said Casper Mifford and his heirs for ever. In Witness whereof the said James Monroe Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his hand and caused the _______ seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the Thirty first day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and of the Commonwealth the twenty fifth.

McCartney, James

James McCartney enters two hundred acres of Land on his certificate No. 233 granted by the County Court of Muhlenberg in August 1801 and located as follows to wit (in) Muhlenberg County on the waters of Gibsons Creek Beginning at Elisha Uzzells South West Corner thence East with 179 poles to his Beginning Corner thence South and thence lines parellel to them So far as will include the complement and to the Beginning. Recorded the 17th of November 1807.

Stom, Leonard assignee of Peter Shull

Leonard Stom assignee of Peter Shull enters 188 acres of Land on his Certificate No. 31 granted by the County Court of Muhlenberg at their March Term 1801 and Located as follows. Beginning at a white oak corner of a former survey running thence N 35 W 179 poles to three gums North 40 E 150 poles to a walnut on the bank of Green River thence with the River S 50 E 40 poles thence S 27 E 108 poles to two white oaks thence S 40 W 120 poles to a gum and hickory thence to the beginning so as to include his improvement and quantity. Recorded the 22nd of October 1807.
