Prowse Cemetery
The Prowse Cemetery is located off Highway 189 about ½ mile before you get to the Pond River Bridge/Christian County line. From Greenville take Highway 62W to Highway 189. Turn left on Highway 189 and go 8.3 miles. The cemetery is on the left in a field just before you get to the Prowse home.

This land has been in the Prowse family since 1804 when Thomas Prowse Sr. with his wife and family came to Muhlenberg Co., Kentucky from North Carolina. He died there in 1810.

After his death his wife Zilpha went to Illinois with two of her children Thomas Jr. and Elizabeth Solomon. She died Palmyra, Macoupin Co., Illinois, October 7, 1865 at age 80. (Christian County Family History 1986)
