Directions
From Greenville take Highway 62 West. Turn left on Highway 189 South. Go 5.1 miles to KY Highway 1473, turn left onto 1473, and go 0.9 of a mile. Church and cemetery are on the lefthand side of the road.
Information
There are 154 burials in the Cave Springs Cemetery. Predominate names are Phillips, Lile and Dukes.
The first person buried in the cemetery was Cynthia Jane Phillips who told family members she wanted to be buried by the steps to the old church.
There is a tombstone for Gene & Marie Harper; however, they are buried at Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City.
There were three infant graves marked at one time with sandstone markers: two at the edge of the cemetery under some trees were believed to be Bryant infants. Another infant grave was with the Sherrods on the first row.
