I, Mattie Elizabeth McCoy, of Central City, Muhlenberg County, State of Kentucky, being more than twenty-one years of age, and of sound mind and memory do make, publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all wills and codicils thereto by heretofore made.
ITEM I: I order and direct that my executrix hereinafter named pay all my just debts and funeral expenses out of my estate as soon as practical after the time of my death.
ITEM II: I give and bequeath unto my son, Roy Lee Stevens, my old table lamp, old Living Room Table, Electric Fan on a Stand, and all pictures and little gifts he has given to me over the years.
ITEM III: I give and bequeath to my daughter, Mattie Marie Tucker, my Library Table, New Bedroom Suit, and all pictures and little gifts she has given to me over the years.
ITEM IV: I give and bequeath unto my son, Foley Stevens, my Innerspring Mattress on the Iron Bed, Breakfast Set, Table and Chairs, and all pictures and little gifts he has given to me over the years.
ITEM V: I give and bequeath unto my daughter, Lorene Slinker, my Sewing Machine, Gas Cook Stove, White Kitchen Table, Cedar Chest, Window Fan, the Blond Bedroom Set, Living Room Set, and Rug, Christ' Picture, and all my clothes and all pictures and little gifts she has given to me over the years.
ITEM VI: I give and bequeath to my stepdaughter, Mabel Dukes, her Daddy's trunk, dresser, and old dining room chairs.
ITEM VII: I give and bequeath to my stepson, Bill McCoy, his Daddy's platform rocker.
ITEM VIII: I give and bequeath unto my granddaughter, Carolyn Staples, Coy's radio.
ITEM IX: I give and bequeath unto my grandson, Danny Slinker, the television set.
ITEM X: I give and bequeath unto my granddaughter, Shirley Ann Taylor, the Electric Sweeper.
ITEM XI: I give and bequeath my bedclothes, cooking ware and dishes to my children, Roy Lee Stevens, Lorene Slinker, Mattie Marie Tucker, and Foley Stevens, to be divided equally between them.
ITEM XII: All the rest and remainder of my household furniture, furnishings, appliances, and personal property, I give and bequeath to my daughter, Lorene Slinker.
ITEM XIII: I direct, authorize and empower my executrix hereinafter named, or the one who may qualify, to sell for cash my house and lot located at 120 South Fourth Street, in the City of Central City, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, in such a manner and at such times as in her judgment may deem best, either at public or private sale, and I direct that the moneys realized from and upon said sale shall be and become part of my estate for the purpose of the administration and distribution of my estate, and after said real estate has been converted into money, that it be distributed as follows:
(a) I give and bequeath unto my stepson, Charlie McCoy, the sum of ONE DOLLAR ($1.00).
(b) I give and bequeath unto my stepson, Clarence McCoy, the sum of ONE DOLLAR ($1.00).
(c) I give and bequeath the remainder of the money realized from the sale of my real estate unto my children, Roy Lee Stevens, Lorene Slinker, Mattie Marie Tucker, and Foley Stevens, and my stepchildren, Mabel Dukes, Dolly Jackson, Ethel Herring, and Bill McCoy, in equal shares, provided, however, that if any of my children or stepchildren predeceasing me leave issue surviving me, such issue shall take in equal parts per stirpes, the share which such predeceasing legatee would have taken had it survived me.
ITEM XIV: I make, nominate and appoint my daughter, Lorene Slinker, to be the Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament, to serve without bond.
Witness this my Last Will and Testament made at Central City, Kentucky, this the 29th day of September, 1965.
