Elizabeth Cessna 1837
Knowing that life is uncertain and being at this time much disposed in Body, but sound in mind and having a desire to dispose of my property somewhat different to the way the law would make.
1st, I will that all of my just debts be paid.
2nd, my will and desire is that my beloved son, Robert J.C. Cessna have all of my horses, cattle, sheep and hogs and that he shall pay to my beloved daughter Elizabeth Milligan and Sally Berryman five dollars each and that he shall have one bed, bed stead and furniture.
3rd, I will and bequeath to my beloved daughter Nancy Cessna one bureau, colt, and cow.
4th, I will and bequeath to my beloved granddaughter Elizabeth Berryman one bed, bed stead and bedclothes.
5th, I will and bequeath to my beloved daughter Joannah Boyd one clothes press.
There being many other articles not named above I will that they should be divided amongst my children as they think best except the farming utensils and cupboards and half the furniture I give to my son R.J.Cessna, the other half to my daughter Nancy.
I make and appoint my beloved son Robert J. my sole Executor to this my last will and testament.

The foregoing last will and testament of Elizabeth Cessna, deceased, was exhibited into court and proved to be the act and deed of Elizabeth Cessna by the oath of Benjamin S. Young, a subscribing witness thereto and at the July County Court 1837, the same was fully proved by the oath of James Sharp, the other subscribing witness and ordered to be recorded.
