A lock on the gate to the Brown Gravesite. According to family tradition, once W.T. Brown died, the gate was to be locked and the key thrown within the grave; thus locking W.T. & Betsy together for eternity.

Alfred Jackson Browning, 1849-1920, son of Caleb Browning; husband to Mary M. Lewis, and father of Elisha D. Browning & Mary Bell “Mollie” Browning Vincent. Mary M. Lewis was the daughter of Sylvester Lewis (1811-1857) and Julia Ann Highley (1816-1880).
