Amanda Elizabeth Joiner was the daughter of Sandy and Martha Legate Joiner of Trigg Co., KY. She married William Warren McCoy and they moved to Muhlenberg Co. in the 1910s. She died in 1934 and is buried at Old Dovey Cemetery, Mercer, KY.

Joseph W. Murphy and Flora Mae Jernigan Murphy married June 30 1905 in Muhlenberg Co., KY. They moved west. While there, Joe & their 2 children died. Flora Mae returned to Muhlenberg Co. and later married Sion Bass Allen in 1909.

William Jesse Murphy
Believed to be William Jesse Murphy, half brother of Nannie Pace Lile (wife of Thomas Jefferson Lile). William Jesse Murphy was born 1856; died 1925 the son of Thomas Murphy and Julia Ann Sherrod. (Julia later married William Ledfeter Pace.) William married Rosia Townsend 28 February 1893. They are buried at Greens Chapel Cemetery.

Penrod Hotel

The original photo is faded and cracked. Still the name Penrod Hotel is visible on it. It's believed that the portion on the right was used as a saloon. In the 1900 census Joseph C. Curtis was listed as a saloon keeper. The Curtis family operated the hotel.
