Joseph Henry Knight was the youngest son of Henry Farley Knight and Mary Elizabeth Keith. He was born 2 April 1867 and died 15 January 1939 in Logan Co., Kentucky. He married 11 October 1893 to Mary Elizabeth “Mollie” Oglesby.

Sarah Margaret Lam Fentress, wife of Isaac Finley Fentress, and her brother Daniel or possibly James W. Lam. Sarah Fentress died 1927.

Sarah Lile

Sarah Elizabeth Lile was born 4 April 1830 Bedford Co., Tennessee and died 25 March 1912 in Muhlenberg. She was the daughter of James Hester Lile and Margaret Lucy Nance. She never married. She and her sister Mary helped raise the four children of Thomas Jefferson Lile and Nannie Roma Pace after Nannie died. Sarah is buried at the old Lile Cemetery. She wrote a will in 1896. This photo is a cabinet card, on the back of which is written “From Aunt Sara to Birdie.” Birdie was my Grandmother Lile and Thomas Jefferson Lile's daughter-in-law.

Thomas Jefferson Lile

Thomas Jefferson Lile was born 20 August 1853 and died 13 January 1923, the son of William Thomas Lile and Margaret Short. Thomas married 16 October 1884 to Nannie Roma Pace and is buried at the old Lile family cemetery. See his death certificate here. The photo is a tintype.

Amanda Elizabeth Joiner was the daughter of Sandy and Martha Legate Joiner of Trigg Co., KY. She married William Warren McCoy and they moved to Muhlenberg Co. in the 1910s. She died in 1934 and is buried at Old Dovey Cemetery, Mercer, KY.

William Jesse Murphy

Believed to be William Jesse Murphy half brother of Nannie Pace Lile. William Jesse Murphy was born 1856; died 1925 the son of Thomas Murphy and Julia Ann Sherrod. (Julia later married Thomas Jefferson Lile.) William married Rosia Townsend 28 February 1893. They are buried at Greens Chapel Cemetery.
