Welcome to the Muhlenberg County KYGenWeb Project

Muhlenberg County was formed in 1798 from parts of Logan and Christian Counties. The county seat is Greenville.

The county was named in honor of John Peter Muhlenberg, a Continental Army general during the American Revolution. Many of the men he commanded would eventually settle in what would later become Muhlenberg County.
